Wireless Surround Sound TVs

HDTV-LCD or Plasma
Looking for a TV for your surround sound system, read on.
So what makes a flat screen HDTV? A flat screen tv, as the name implies, has a screen only a few inches thick. This is the beauty of this type of tv.With optional mounts, you can hang a flat screen on the wall. Which type of flat screen is best, LCD or Plasma?

LCD & Plasma Compared:
Plasma facts
The flourescent bulb is what gives the plasma tv life. A plasma screen is made up of cells containing a pair of glass panels seperated with a air space. The gaps have neon-xenon gas injected into them and sealed in plasma form.. This gas is charged electrically when the flat screen is in use. An image is created when the gas hits red, blue and green phosphors.
Because plasma TVs use the burning of phosphors to produce an image, they can suffer from the same drawbacks of traditional TVs, such as high heat generation and screen burn-in. Also, plasma TVs tend to be very expensive.

LCD 101:
A LCD screen is made of polarized, transparent glass panels which are adhered to each other.Liquid crystals are held to one of the panels with a polymer. When an electric current is passed through the crystals, images are created. An external light source is needed for LCD screens.
An LCD screen can be used for 40" TVs down to 15" monitors. (Although Sharp makes a magnificent 65-inch flat screen TV in its Aquos brand lineup.)
